A fall flowering favorite of hummingbirds and nocturnal insects. Open-pollinated, native plant seeds in hand-printed packages.
PLANT: Tall stalks of large lemony flowers throughout the summer and fall. A biennial, meaning it completes a two year life cycle and flowers and reseeds in the second year. Perfect for night scent as the flowers open in the evening and close every day by noon.
FAUNA: Host plant to the Primrose moth, and supports other species, particularly nocturnal insects, including bees, butterflies, and other moths. Historically has been a food source and a medicinal plant. Excellent for moon gardens and for attracting hummingbirds.
ORIGIN/CULTURE: Native to the lower 48 United States and part of Canada. Tolerant of a wide range of conditions including roadsides, meadows, abandoned lots, prairies.

Germination: Plant outdoors in early spring or fall. Does not require stratification. Sow on the surface as seeds need light to germinate.
