A prolific, long-blooming native perennial with bright golden flowers all summer. Excellent cut flower and pollinator plant.
DESCRIPTION: Cheerful golden daisy flowers with dark yellow centers bloom continuously on branching stems from early summer through fall, above coarse dark green foliage. Easy to grow and quick to establish across a range of conditions.
FAUNA: Supports native bees and other insects with a long bloom season. Seeds eaten by birds in fall and winter.
ORIGIN/CULTURE: Native to open woods, meadows, and prairies across eastern and central North America. Full sun, dry to moist soils.

GERMINATION: Sow outdoors in fall. For indoor or spring planting, cold stratify seeds at 40°F for 30 days before sowing to mimic winter cold period. An easy method is to put the seeds in the fridge in a resealable bag mixed with a small amount of barely moist growing medium or sand.
