PLANT: Sneezeweed is a hardy, drought-tolerant perennial that flourishes in full sun and moist, well-drained soils. Its showy, daisy-like flowers bloom from late summer into fall, with hues of yellow, orange, and red adding a burst of color to your garden. Ideal for wildflower meadows, prairies, and rain gardens. The name sneezeweed originates from cultural use as a type of snuff, it does not cause allergies or hay fever symptoms. Toxic if eaten in large quantities.

FAUNA: The nectar-rich blooms of sneezeweed provide an important food source for pollinators, including native bees,butterflies, wasps, moths, and beetles. Host plant to the Dainty Sulphur butterfly.

ORIGIN/CULTURE: Native to a broad range across the United States and Canada. Thrives in moist open areas along streams and ponds.

GERMINATION: Plant outdoors in early spring. Does not require stratification. Seed directly on the soil surface, as seeds are small and daylight aids germination.
